How do I print my electronic product?

All of our electronic products are completely “print enabled” and have been designed specifically for optimal formatted printing on your printer.

Note that if you have purchased a downloadable product and you would like to print a paper copy, first make sure that the file has been downloaded and saved to your computer's hard drive. (You should have "right clicked" the link on the download page.)

To print, double click the file icon to open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Then, simply go to the "File" menu and select "Print..." (Alternately, if you are using a PC, you can press CTRL+P.)

If you try to print before actually downloading the file to your computer, the print process could take much longer as each page will have to be downloaded individually. If you elect to print in this manner, a few pages will print at one time, followed by a pause in printing as the next few pages are downloaded to your computer.

Please note that for printing purposes there is a difference between page numbers appearing in the guide itself and the page numbers used by Acrobat Reader (which considers left and right pages as a single page). To print particular pages, use the page numbers assigned by Acrobat Reader (which appear in the lower left corner of Acrobat Reader document window).

Although all of our products have been optimized to be printed quickly and easily, some customers may occasionally experience difficulties in the printing process.

Because most printing errors are the result of inadequate free memory in your printer, there's two simple things you can do to address this issue:
  • STEP #1: Turn off your printer, let it sit for 20 seconds, then turn it back on and allow the printer time to reinitialize. This will clear the printer's memory that may be storing previous documents you printed.
  • STEP #2: Print only one section at a time instead of the entire document at once. For instance, try printing just the first five pages (from page 1 to page 5). To print particular pages, use the page numbers assigned by Acrobat Reader (rather than the printed pages on the guide), which appear in the lower left corner of the Acrobat Reader document window. Printers with small amounts of memory may "overload" when you try to print the entire document at once. By printing just a section at a time, you can avoid this problem.
